5 Foods to Prevent Your Arteries from Clogging (Dr. Oz)

You can add years to your life by keeping your heart healthy. Caring for your ticker can be as easy as knowing what to eat! Discover 5 powerful foods that serve as weapons to fight clogged arteries.

Like any plumbing system, your arteries can get clogged up. When you have high blood pressure, inflammation causes cholesterol to stick to the walls of your blood vessels, forming a plaque. The following foods are powerful enough to prevent this dangerous clogging.

(Images are all from Google images)

Kiwi and Cantaloupe
These antioxidant-rich foods work by reducing toxic LDL cholesterol, which is formed by a rusting process in your arteries. They can help stop the “rust” in its tracks and even prevent it from spreading. Eat 1 cup of cantaloupe or 1 kiwi a day to unclog your arteries.

Shrimp
Despite being a source of cholesterol, shrimp can be helpful for your heart. They contain taurine, an amino acid, which acts like plastic wrap so fats can’t cross the intestinal wall and get into your arteries. Try having 5 medium-sized steamed or grilled shrimp twice a week. Be sure to avoid the cocktail sauces.

Red-Skinned Grapes and Cranberry Juice
These foods strain the fat out your arteries. Instead of having fat build up in your blood vessels, these foods improve your cells' ability to absorb the fat and use it for energy production. Drink a glass of cranberry juice three times a week or eat 1 cup of grapes per day to unclog your arteries.

Boost Lung Energy

I got this tips from Dr. Oz...

Lungs are a key organ for boosting and maintaining your energy, as they are responsible for taking in oxygen required for all aerobic metabolism in the body. Even a slight change in lung function can lower oxygen levels, which can cause severe fatigue. To boost lung energy, get an infusion of vitamin E, which some research suggests may improve or support lung function.

A great way to reach the daily recommendation of vitamin E is to combine...

1/2 cup  Sunflower Seeds
3/4 cup  Dried Apricots
1/2 cup  Hazelnuts

These are easy foods to pack in your purse for when you’re on the go, or to store at work when you feel like a snack. Sunflower seeds are delicious on green salads, and add a nice crunch.

I recommend storing your sunflower seeds and hazelnuts in the fridge, which will help keep their natural oils fresh, prevent rancidity, and ensure you are getting the maximum amount of nutrition from them.

Perhaps I should go to the store right away and grab all these ingredients. I shall bring this snack pack whenever I drive my kids to school. At least I'm gonna have some healthy snack to munch in the car while waiting...^_^

NINI Celup Coklat (Home version)

Mmm...pastu coklatnya pun mcm tak cukup plak kalau anak-anak nak celup lebih2...

Pastu, guarantee dah tak nak lagi sebab dah puas makan! hihihihi.... Yang pasti, kita pun puas hati bila tengok anak2 puas makan....:-)

Homemade Fries

Pastu, saya goreng dgn api yg sederhana. Tutup kuali tu dan biarkan kentang tu masak dan garing. Bila dah diangkat dan ditoskan, taburkan sedikit lada sulah jika suka. Sedap dimakan bersama sos cili/sos tomato ataupun mayonis.

Saya kurang suka dengan makanan segera. Jadi ini salah satu cara saya nak elakkan dari terlalu kerap makan makanan segera.

Due to this hot weather, I always come out with drinks or snacks that could avoid my kids from getting dehydrated. If you get dehydrated, you’ve used more water than you’ve consumed. Your body no longer has the amount of water it needs to carry out important tasks, including cognitive functioning, blood flow and waste elimination.

To avoid them from getting dehydrated, what I do is...

1. I always get them to eat lots of fresh fruits such as Honey Dew, Watermelon, Oranges, Dragon fruits, Papaya, etc.

2. Sometimes I made them Fruit Punch Drinks.

Rice Milky Soaking Water...Beauty Tips from Koreans

"If you have age spots, sunspots or struggle with hyperpigmentation, you don’t have to spend a fortune on skin-correcting or lightening serums. Take a cue from Korean women. After soaking rice to ready it for cooking, Korean women use the starchy, milky water to wash their face. They dip a washcloth into the water and apply it directly to their skin. Rice is high in PABA, ferullic acid and allantoin, which are all high in antioxidants, and have natural anti-inflammatory and skin-protecting properties. The result is a soft dewy complexion and, over time, a reduction in the appearance of dark spots."

Haaa...so, apa lagi, mulai dari sekarang, everytime nak masak nasi...jangan lupa bilas muka dengan air basuhan beras tu ye. Sahabat saya iaitu Yati Hassan pun pernah ajar tips kecantikan ni...hihihi

Selamat Mencuba!! ^_^

Our Little Contribution from home - Plastic Bottle Recycling

Have you ever thought that our little part from home can contribute a lot to our world? Maybe you don't realize that the plastic bottles that we use almost everyday to drink, cook, etc may harm to our health internally due to the chemical that are being used in the process of the bottle making.

What do you normally do with all used plastic bottles at home? Do you just dumb the bottle into the garbage bag? Do u reuse for other purposes?

I may not an expert about all this but I believe that if all of us do our part from home, we can help in many factors. I normally will crumpled all the recycle bottles and store it in one big plastic bag. Then, I sell it to the nearest recycle centre. And the money that I get, I use it for my groceries expenses. Hihihi...

Other than send it to the recycle center, you can also reuse the bottle for many other purposes. Visit this below link to see the ideas...;-) Below is one of my favourite...;-)
